About Me
My educational background is grounded in scientific study and analysis. My listening skills and absolute presence with people allow for an intuitive component essential to proper diagnosis and treatment of the whole person.
Education

My formal education includes undergraduate study at Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science degree With Highest Honors majoring in Physiology from the University of California at Davis. My nursing education includes two Master of Science degrees from Pace University. I am licensed in the state of New York as a registered professional nurse (RN) and a family nurse practitioner (FNP).

I attend continuing education conferences that include the study of homeopathy, herbal medicine, lactation and breastfeeding, cranial sacral therapy, kinesiology, toxicology and biofield medicine.

My chosen educational path was first guided by an interest in the natural scientific workings of the human body and then by my patients' experiences. I educate myself in therapies that I see work. I will continue to explore new therapies and improve my understanding of those I currently practice.

I am a wife and mother of four children. I get an education in my home every day. My life keeps me humble!

My Beliefs and Practice Style

I believe in the importance of utilizing a person's innate healing abilities to create optimal health. I facilitate this through the use of healing modalities that support the mind and body's ability to heal. I use these modalities either as an alternative to conventional medicine or complementary to conventional medicine, depending on the individual's situation and personal preferences.
I devote much time to educating the patient and family, because without a full understanding of the chosen therapies and alternatives, an individual cannot genuinely focus personal energy toward specific actions. Education provides a person with the information and the motivation needed to take action. This strengthens an individual's intention in the chosen process and is key to healing.
I view innate healing abilities and personal intention as part of the lifeforce. It is essential that we pay attention to this powerful force within all of us. Lifeforce is the vital impulse of life. When we don't pay attention to it, we not only lose its benefits, we also are more likely to cause harm.
Optimal health is achieved through educating yourself and taking action; regarding nutrition, lifestyle choices, and choice of healing methods. My goal is to guide you in this endeavor while honoring your lifeforce.
